On November 1, 2023, Cornerstone Global Academy organized an Art Contest event for students ranging from Elementary School (SD) to Junior High School (SMP) and Senior High School (SMA). This event is intended to enable students to develop their creative potential while also recognizing and evaluating basic design components including color, line, shape and ratio, aesthetic, and completion.
The contest focused on drawing and watercolor painting, with different mediums offered to each school level. Grades 1-2 concentrated on using oil pastels (crayons), grades 3-6 on colored pencils and oil pastels, grades 7-10 on precision drawing with any pencil (4B, HB, etc.), and grades 11-12 on drawing a watercolour landscape painting from a given photo.
The event began with a prayer and a quick review of the contest regulations. Then, with enthusiasm, participants embarked on their creative adventure to express their thoughts and ideas. Once completed, students submitted their artworks to the teachers for display and scoring by judges. The judges were art professionals and Visual Communication Design (VCD) teachers from Jakarta International University.

This contest was not just a competition but also a celebration of the diverse artistic talents of students. The winners were announced the following week, and the champions received certificates as recognition of their creativity and dedication.

With the success of this event, Cornerstone Global Academy remains committed to supporting and nurturing the artistic potential of students, providing diverse and profound educational experiences.
