On August 13, 2024, Cornerstone Global Academy successfully organized its annual Art Contest, featuring student participation across four distinct categories: SD Lower Grade (Grade 1-3), SD Upper Grade (Grade 4-6), SMP & Grade 10, and SMA Grade 11-12. The categories were designed to challenge students with different artistic mediums: crayon for the SD Lower Grade, colored pencil for the SD Upper Grade, 4B pencil for Grade 7-10, and watercolor for Grade 11-12.
This event was an opportunity for students to explore and develop their creative potential. The competition aimed to recognize and evaluate students’ understanding of basic design elements, including color, line, shape, ratio, aesthetics, and overall completion. By engaging in this creative process, students expressed their artistic abilities through their unique interpretations of the given references.
Each participant submitted their artwork, which was then collected, displayed, and meticulously evaluated by a panel of judges. The judging panel consisted of art professionals and Visual Communication Design (VCD) lectures from Jakarta International University, along with two other esteemed art professionals. The display of these works not only celebrated the efforts of the participants but also served as an inspiration for others in the school community to explore their artistic talents.
