Cornerstone Global Academy (CGA) just ended its teachers’ retreat, which took place from 7-9 March 2024 in Bandung. This event brought together all teachers and staff members for a refreshing experience focused on individual and professional development, with the theme “Good Samaritan, Good Teachers.”

On the first day, educators talked about the importance of being a good teacher and embodying the characteristics of a Good Samaritan with both colleagues and students.

The second day began with morning devotions and exercise. Then continued with personal development and collaboration activities. Teachers take a deep dive into the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which allows teachers to gain a better understanding of themselves and their colleagues. Co-workers’ connections were fostered even further through team-building activities. Furthermore, closed with an Appreciation Night where teachers were awarded for their excellent character and dedication to their work.

The final day of the retreat was about setting new commitments for the upcoming semester. The teachers reflected on their experience and made various commitments to enhance their teaching methods and provide a supportive environment for students.

The retreat not only provided useful insights and renewed motivation, but it also improved relationships between teachers and staff. With the information and experiences obtained during the retreat, CGA teachers and staff are ready to start the new semester with renewed vigour and enthusiasm, determined to maintain quality in education and support a caring atmosphere for student development.
