Jakarta, October 4, 2024 –SMAK Cornerstone Global Academy organized a memorable field trip to Dunia Fantasi (Dufan), Jakarta’s premier theme park. Sixty-five participants, consisting of 56 students and 9 teachers, embarked on this adventure-filled day. The visit was part of CGA’s commitment to provide real-world learning experiences that complement classroom education.
The day began at 8:00 AM as students and teachers gathered excitedly at the park entrance. Throughout the day, the students explored various rides and attractions that Dufan is famous for. From thrilling roller coasters to educational interactive exhibits, the students experienced the fusion of entertainment and learning. Each activity fostered curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork, encouraging students to apply critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment. Beyond fun, the field trip aimed to reflect on God’s greatness, as students observed the marvels of human creativity and technological innovation. The theme of the day resonated with the Biblical principle of nurturing the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
The field trip also provided an opportunity for students to bond with each other and their teachers, strengthening the sense of community at SMAK Cornerstone Global Academy. Whether navigating group challenges at the rides or engaging in shared experiences, students learned the value of teamwork and emotional resilience, lessons that are essential for their holistic development.
As the day drew to a close, the students left the park at 5:00 PM, bringing home not only souvenirs but also unforgettable memories. The trip reinforced the school’s commitment to providing students with a balanced education that includes academic learning, social skills, and spiritual growth.
